New Post: The better your life, the faster it goes
I think a better life is one where who you are overlaps a majority of what you do day to day. I have heard that described as convergence. Are you at the convergence stage of your life? Or, are you like 80% of the workforce who is either neutral or negative about their job?
With all that said, I think as your level of engagement goes up things go faster in life. The more you get to do what you love to do and what you are actually talented at, the days will fly by. Time will blow by and you will wonder where a day, week or month went. I believe the opposite it true as well - if things seems slow, painful, etc, it may be that you are wasting away in something that is literally draining the life out of you.
I do not know if there is much in-between.
I talked with my assistant director at work the other day and I could not believe that one week had gone by. Where did it go? It was more than just busy - you can be busy and engaged and busy and disengaged. The way to tell the difference is to pay attention to your energy level and how fast time seems to fly by, or not.
Think about it.
Do something about it.
Change your reality.
Or, if time is flying by for you - don’t screw it up, it is precious to live in that state.
One last thought, does life just go by faster when you are acting out of your gifting? I think so.
